After streamlining textiles, during the Second World War, designers began to promote simpler creations – mid-calf skirts, with more volume, short jackets and blouses immediately became the favorite fashion choices of women. Even if the cuts were simple, the clothes stood out through color and prints (like the famous polka dot print).
Today’s retro inspired fashion retains many of these details with the sole exception that the fabrics are more expensive, more precious and more varied. But the main elements of this style – midi skirts, polka dots, feminine cuts – are kept intact.
